How Do I Flag a Report for Review?
In this lesson, we will instruct how you can "flag" a report for review. This can be useful in many circumstances such as wanting to flag a user for QI/QA purposes, or wanting to flag a user to "keep them in the loop" and make them aware of an incident.
There are two ways you will be able to flag a user, we will go over both of them, as well as how to use the "Flag for Review" screen.
Option 1: From The Row of The Search Results Screen
Find the incident report that you would like to flag and move your mouse to the left of the row. You will now see a drop down menu that has a downward facing arrow. Clicking on this downward facing arrow will display another option to "Flag" the incident.
Click on the "Flag" option.
Option 2: From The Incident Window
If you are already viewing a report in an incident report window, you will see a "FLAG FOR REVIEW" button towards the bottom of the window.
Clicking on the "FLAG FOR REVIEW" button will open the "Flag for Review" window.
How To Use the "Flag For Review" Window
You will then be presented with a "Flag for Review" window that will allow you to select the users you would like to flag.
- Move your curser to the "Send To" text field, and start typing either the first or last name of the person you would like to flag. The system will then present you with user options to select. Select the user you would like to add to the "Recipient List." You can continue to add as many users as you would like.
- Your recipients will be displayed under the "Recipient List." If there is a user you have added by mistake, simply press the red "x" to the right of their name to remove them from the list.
After you have selected your desired recipients, you will need to finish by completing the following:
- Enter your reason for flagging. This can be as short or as long as you would like it to be.
- If you would like, you can be notified of all user responses by email. You will receive an email alerting you if the user you flagged has acknowledged your reason for flagging.
- After you have entered all the necessary pieces of information, simply press the "SEND" button.
A user that has been flagged will receive an email that will advise them that an incident report has been flagged, providing them with a link to view the report on the system.
**NOTE: Due to HIPAA guidelines, no comments (reason for flagging) or patient information will be sent via email. The user who was flagged will simply receive an email with a link to the report that was flagged.
